Hoover Mason Trestle
Video produced by PBS39 /WLVT – Public Media and Education Center, Bethlehem, PA
The Hoover Mason Trestle is an elevated walkway over the SteelStacks Campus. Raised 46 feet above the ground, the $15.5 million trail runs 1,650 feet from near Bethlehem Landing visitors center toward the Sands casino.
The trestle, a project of the Bethlehem Redevelopment Authority, is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
*Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards and scooters are banned from the path. Dogs, at least for now, are not allowed because of the fragility of the flowers and other plantings.
